The selfie. A mindlessly conformist behavior. A form of self-absorption. Possibly narcissistic, preventing appreciation of the present.
Is it possible the selfie has some creative potential? Can it be a form of self-expression? Conveying a mood and telling a story? I think yes!
So here you have it. A look at my attempt to create selfie art, to express my self, and to share my story. A selfie collection of my travels with Charlie. Quite embarrassing, a bit self-absorbed, but completely genuine. A form of self-expression, each smile capturing me on two wheels riding across a country I have grown so fond of. The occasional strained face that depicts the mountainous geography of this land. Epic sunsets, the turquoise mediterranean, small mountain villages, and impressive holy sites that make the perfect backdrop. Eyes sometimes closed and plenty of blurred failed attempts reveal that my selfie skills are not quite refined. But all share a story, of what I have seen, where I have been, and where I am headed. All share the story of a girl, her bike, and a new country.
Enjoy!
